Greetings, earthlings!

You have arrived at the temporary website of Bionic Creative. We’re in the midst of designing a full site, with wingdings, bells and whistles and all.

Bionic Creative is a Singapore-based design boutique. Our core design team is additionally supported by our collaborative network of independent talents. Be it designers or developers, we match various talents to your project based on your requirements, so that you can maximise every dollar you’ve invested on the right people, the right skills and the best quality.

Our core strength (and our most favourite thing to do) is in Visual Branding + Logos. We also provide other design and media-related services such as Print + Web Design.

With our top-notch quality designs combined with attentive and prompt customer service, plus our strong integrity and transparency, you will get the most out of your design investment.

There is only ONE downside. Once you’ve worked with Bionic Creative, you won’t ever want to work with anyone else!

We’re really really happy to announce that since 2 May 2009, AWARE EOGM T-shirt supporters have helped to raise $3215 so far.

Dionis and I were invited to AWARE’s appreciation party for the EOGM volunteers, so we took the opportunity to handover the first batch of donations.

Here’s a lovely pic, courtesy of Praptee Maharani

    Goodbye East Coast…

It’s time to move on from Joo Chiat Place and to say goodbye to our beloved office space. Looking at the now-empty unit, we’re feeling a little sad 🙁

But hey, we’re moving onto greener pastures in Chinatown! Plenty to explore, great food to eat. Oh boy, we’re going to need to go to the gym every day!

    Shut Up & Sit Down

If you have heard on the news about the Aware saga and about these witty t-shirts, then you will know that, yes, Bionic is the culprit behind these hilarious memento tees.

As a female-operated design studio, what better way to contribute our creative talents to a good cause? 70% of profits will go to Aware (they’ll need it after that $90K splurge by the ex-exco)

I’ve read about it in other designers’ blogs and articles, where they lament about their work being stolen, copied and worse, bastardised into a half-assed looking piece of work.

So I guess I’m considered lucky when all I’ve got copied from me is a X’mas promotion (the graphics and copy which I painstakingly thought of, were duplicated at 80%), and some paragraph-lifting from my post, ‘5 reasons not to hire us’.

But wait a minute, it’s not okay. I have the foresight to know that if I allow this nincompoop to continue lifting things from me, it means the following:

    • Hey, it’s okay to take my stuff. Take more! Take all of it!
    • If my clients and prospects happen to stumble upon his site, they may think that I’M the one doing the pinching

You know who you are. You are being watched. Do not mess with me.

    Why we love our office

The Bionic HQ was lovingly repainted, relit and furnished by hand. We handpicked everything, and every inch is a collaborative effort.

There are no glaring, unflattering flourescent lights. The ambience is relaxed, with everyone taking turns to be the DJ. Occasionally when we have the time, we engage in battle on the Xbox.

Bionic HQ is our second home!

    Hey thanks, Gen!

Our dear intern from Temasek Polytechnic, Genevieve has completed her internship plus a school vacation stint at Bionic Creative. We went for a lovely goodbye lunch at Sakae Sushi to thank her for her diligence and fantastic attitude. Never a complaint and always thoughtful. 🙂

Thank you Gen for being the very first Bionic intern and I wish you the very best.

PS: Please drop by to say hello when you’re in the area!

    Pick Me Up! Charity Drive

I’ve experienced life coaching, first as a coachee, and now as an apprentice coach with Executive Coach International.

My friends at ECI recently took on a 24-hour challenge to write and produce a book called Pick Me Up. We succeeded at this task and extended it into a new challenge which was to sell 10,000 copies in 72 hours. At the end of the 72 hours, we sold over 2000 copies.

We’re still sticking to our promise of 10,000 copies and we’d like you to help us hit our target by 2 Feb 2008. 60% of the nett proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity that aims to raise funds to fulfill the wishes of terminally-ill children in Singapore. The other 40% will go into covering costs and the remaining will go into the planning and setup of a social enterprise founded by ECI. All in all, it’s for charity – none of us will benefit financially from this. We’re doing it with the passion of making a change and making miracles.

    We’re Moving!

The current office lease was running out, so I spent a week or so office-hunting. After looking at about 3 or 4 locations, I chanced upon a nice shophouse that had FOR RENT on its front facade, while walking along Joo Chiat Road from the ECI office.
